Delivery of material for Carroll Shelter house
Earlier in the week I picked up the last half of the concrete blocks I purchased for the south wall of the Carroll shelter house. Saturday morning, Oct 26, at 7:00 AM, Nancy and I loaded a cement mixer in my pickup and started down the road pulling my 16-foot trailer loaded with the concrete blocks. 3.5 hours later we started up the hill, in 4-wheel drive, to the shelter house. We found the campground full of vehicles including Bill Gee’s truck and trailer. Everyone was apparently caving since no one was to be seen on the surface. I saw that the container was unlocked and proceeded to check the electric mower. It was plugged into the charger but not charging and the battery display showed empty. I wiggled the connector between the charger and the mower, as I had last week, but this time I was unable to get the display to light up indicating charging. I will bring contact cleaner when I come down on the 15th and see if that helps. It took about two hours to unload and stack the stone before heading out at 12:30.

I will be back to work on the shelter house Nov. 15 – 17 and Nov 22 – 24. I will purchase screws for installing siding and masonry cement and rebar for the wall. I expect the cost to be around $300. I could use more help so please consider coming down for a day or two and help me get the word out.
