Area Visited: Campground

Trip purpose: mow and weed eat

Trip participants: marty griffin

Entry Time: 9am

Exit Time: 5pm

The trip report: Objective:

Maintain the Carroll property by mowing, edging, and weed whacking.
Assess property condition and identify necessary repairs.
Equipment:

Mowers
Weed whacker
DeWalt batteries
Chargers
Procedure:
Arrived at the property at 9:00 AM and found the gates secure. All equipment was accounted for and batteries fully charged.

Mowing: Initiated mowing, but the battery died prematurely. After charging, resumed mowing and completed a full perimeter of the fence line. Focused on the area around the pond which hadn’t been mowed all year. Encountered a large metal object buried near the west fence, potentially an anchor. Marked the location with a string and plastic bag.
Weed Whacking: Completed after mowing the first battery cycle. Finished approximately half of the fence line before battery depletion.
Equipment Assessment: Discovered mower blades are dull. Identified the need to purchase a 5/16 inch wrench, jack stand, and new mower blades for sharpening.
Property Assessment: Noticed carpentry work required on site.
Issues:

Mower battery charging inconsistencies. Initial charge displayed percentage, but subsequent attempts displayed inconsistent behavior (dark screen).
Encountered a large metal object while mowing, potentially damaging mower blades.
Recommendations:

Purchase necessary tools and equipment for mower blade maintenance.
Investigate mower battery charging issues.
Prioritize carpentry repairs.
Total Time: Approximately 8 hours, including equipment charging time.

Note: Additional time was spent learning the new equipment.
